I am Andjela
I am an intuitive practitioner that works with various modalities to reconnect you to your own inner truth, empowerment, and sovereignty. My belief is that healing is an integrative process in which you allow yourself to land in the present moment, to acknowledge your patterns, defenses, coping strategies, and emotional experiences that are holding your energy in the past.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology at York University in 2017 and proceeded in addition with completing a Diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy & Spiritual Direction at Transformational Arts College of Holistic and Spiritual Training in 2018. Currently, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) in the process of achieving the required practicum hours in order to be able to receive my full completed designation and license.
My approach is centred on merging your conscious mind with that which is unconscious so that you are able to find understanding from within and work through unresolved trauma, become aware of triggers, and releasing emotional suppression. I value the holistic approach to mind, body, and spirit because only in accessing awareness of all aspects of ourselves are we able to truly feel whole, and connected to who we are.
My integrative approach is also supported through a deep connection to Yoga, as I have as well accomplished the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT, 200hrs) at Mula Yoga in February 2017. Through my own practice, I have learned that yoga has the ability to create more space to heal our physical bodies from trauma, in result allowing healthy blood flow and freedom of movement, breath, and serenity. Once we feel grounded and connected to our bodies, then we are able to hold a greater capacity for self-love & inner nourishment. My passion for healing trauma through yoga has led me to a Trauma-Informed Yoga Training for Sexual Assault Survivors, currently still ongoing. However, this approach encompasses my lens when working with clients whether in private or group yoga sessions.
Balancing the energy of Yin & Yang, knowing the centre between being who you are and becoming your fullest potential is a sacred art of coming back to yourself in the present. As a Yoga Instructor, I continue to evolve myself and my own understanding of the ancient knowledge that lives through the practice. Receiving an additional certification in Yin Yoga has furthered my connection to stillness and the essence of time in knowing the benefits of holding a pose for longer, leading to very powerful physical & energetic shifts in our current state of being.
Becoming in tune with the spiritual realm through my own journey has inspired me to create a space where you are able to connect to your own inner wisdom for living a more fulfilling and spiritual existence through any spiritual lessons, or death, rebirth and energetic transformations that are transpiring.
In the near future, I am looking forward to hosting ceremonies, rituals and creating circles for people to gather together for healing and inner transformation.
I hold my practice with the knowledge that once we tap into the wholeness of our soul, and reclaim our power we are able to witness and feel the alchemical change that occurs in our daily lives and is everlasting.
